In our third edition of MCCM, we conducted the project entirely online, adhering to health guidelines, which allowed us to increase the number of participants from 120 to 150 girls. The number of monitors also increased, totaling 40 monitors from all over Brazil in this edition!
Over 5 incredible weeks, we provided asynchronous activities throughout the course weeks via our website, allowing the girls to complete the weekly activities at their convenience. Additionally, on Saturdays, there were meetings with the participation of the girls, scientists, and monitors in discussion circles filled with knowledge and experience sharing!
These were very special moments! We started with a virtual welcome through WhatsApp for the girls in their respective groups, followed by thematic weeks of lectures and experiments in biological sciences, chemical sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences, which could be conducted at home with easily accessible materials.
It was wonderful to have everyone's participation, despite occasional challenges. This shows us that working with science is possible for everyone!
