In our second edition, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to adapt: our project was put forward in a fully online manner and this time we expanded from 50 to 120 participants. Also, the number of voluntaries was increased and we counted with the support of 31 undergraduate and graduate students from all over Brazil!!
It was a fantastic 5-week course! From the virtual welcome of the girls in their respective groups to the thematic weeks of lectures and experiments in biological sciences, chemical sciences, mathematics and physical sciences, which could be performed at home with easily accessible materials.
At the end of each week, there was a synchronous activity, a conversation broadcasted via YouTube, with the invited scientists who talked about their research topics, mediated by our volunteers.
It was extremely delightful to have everyone present at this challenging moment, and to show them that working with science is possible for everyone!
